"Luke's Yoga is exactly what I needed. While visiting San Diego, I decided to try a one-on-one yoga session. I was in the mood for something restorative, and just didn't feel like being in a room with a bunch of sweaty people. Having previously taken one of Luke's studio yoga classes, I was excited to get one-on-one feedback during my yoga routine, and to really focus on doing the postures correctly. To start, Luke took the time to find out more about what I hoped to achieve with my yoga practice both broadly and within the day's practice. We also went over my personal health concerns to be sure poses could be modified or avoided if needed. Then, before we jumped in, he adjusted the music to my liking. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a yoga class and found the music obnoxious, so this was a much appreciated detail! Then the yoga really began. We warmed up, did some invigorating flow, and got into restorative, holding poses. He helped me to really sink into the postures, and made great adjustments either based on what he saw me doing or based on my questions. It was awesome to feel free to ask questions throughout the session without 'disrupting class.' The end of the session included neck and foot massage with aromatherapy. I felt totally relaxed by the end of our session, and since he came to me, I didn't wither that relaxation away sitting in dreadful traffic. I had a private yoga massage session with Luke and it was amazing! Luke came to my home and guided me through a session that left me feeling full of gratitude and completely cleared my mind of a rather full day. It can be a challenge to disconnect and stay present, but Luke did a beautiful job with creating the space to trust him, and just be. “I have been taking a once-a-week, hour-long yoga class with Luke for about 6 months. I have COPD and hoped that practicing yoga would help with my breathing and relieve some neck pain.
